[Clarke had said that Murphy had a tie to Bellamy that she could never have with him. That remains true, and it's obvious that Bellamy's taken that to heart here.]

But any chance of him seeing reason before we open the door? I'm worried he might go somewhere we can't find him after he leaves.

I'll talk to him, but it depends on what you mean by "seeing reason". He's scared.

[ Later that night - so late it nearly qualifies as the following morning - Murphy finally stumbles home. He lost his shirt somewhere along the way, permanently this time, and it's been replaced by half-crumpled necklaces of woven flowers. He expects Bellamy to be asleep by now, so he tries to creep into the room quietly, but he trips in the process of nudging off one boot and flops to the ground with a loud thump. Followed by a curse. Followed by more squirming as he shakes off the other boot without bothering to get up. ]

[Bellamy has long since fallen asleep. Murphy told him not to wait up, but he did anyway. For a couple of hours, at least, until he figured maybe Murphy wasn't coming home tonight.

Now he's being woken up by some very graceful sneaking, and the slow realization that his head is throbbing. Great. He pushes himself up onto an elbow.]
