[Bellamy shifts slightly, considering that. Oddly enough, it's not something he's used to discussing with other people other than Octavia. Gina was another rare exception.]
When Octavia and I were kids, our mom would read us Greek mythology, Classical history, that sort of thing. The Iliad was her favorite.
[hearing his answer wasn't too surprising given some of the books she had seen lying around the apartment that obviously belonged to him but what hit her a bit harder was that it was something new she was learning about him.
she knows that given everything that they have had to deal with back home, they hardly had time for a normal conversation that didn't have to do with their survival. the changes of that were slim to none at best though she can understand how it's unlikely to be something that would come up either since it related to his mother. she can't help but smile slightly though because it's easy to tell it's important to him and something that has stuck with him over the years since he still enjoys reading about it]
Greek mythology? [she pauses for a moment because while she knows what it is, it was never something she read into like bellamy seems to have] Oh— you know, I think that was one of the few things I haven't read about.
Yeah— [clarke huffs a slight laugh while knowing that he definitely teasing her for it. she had done a lot of reading on the ark about various things and he wasn't wrong to assume she'd been the top student in her classes either but in this case, greek mythology is something that bellamy is more knowledgeable about than her]
It definitely wasn't covered in classes so it looks like you know more about that than me.

One of the few things.
[He's teasing, but it is a little surprising—Clarke always struck him as the star student type.]
Guess they didn't cover it much in our classes.
