[Clarke is the only one who ever really says anything like this to him, and even with her, he struggles to formulate a response. Eggsy says it so easily, too, and so for a moment Bellamy is struck silent. In all honesty, he thinks Eggsy would be just fine without him. It's clear he can handle himself. He's capable and confident well-liked, but Bellamy still gets it.

[ Eggsy has a hard time voicing his feelings when he overthinks things, but this is simple to him. It's a little surprising and nice to heart it volleyed back — like their friendship is more solidified by saying it aloud. ]
