Back home we've got a Queen. [ a beat. ] She's old as shit and addresses the people loads, yeah? I reckon she mostly spouts political or ceremonial bullshit, but she always has something to say. Got proper politicians, too, and they never shut up, either. [ if Bellamy were with him, he'd notice a colossal eyeroll. ] But the Empress didn't say nothing before she went off to Wyver. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Not to mention, all the Olympians turn their nose up at Wyver, yeah? They're over here lounging in a Noble District. [ he scoffs. ] Posh gits.
And they elected to send people like you and your sister down to the ground? [ after meeting clarke, eggsy wonders if the average age of the expeditionary team is that young. ] Bet the clans love you space invaders.
Jesus, Bellamy. That’s a fucking nightmare. [ that’s eggsy’s version of genuine condolences. after he says it it, he hesitates, voice ultimately coming out softer than he’d like. ] This isn’t where you tell me you’re one of the people who died and came back to life here, right?
[ because he knows a lot of people like that, and he still doesn’t know how to react. ]
[Clarke is the only one who ever really says anything like this to him, and even with her, he struggles to formulate a response. Eggsy says it so easily, too, and so for a moment Bellamy is struck silent. In all honesty, he thinks Eggsy would be just fine without him. It's clear he can handle himself. He's capable and confident well-liked, but Bellamy still gets it.
So, finally, he replies, voice maybe just a bit quieter than it was before.]
This would be a hell of a lot harder without you, too.
[ Eggsy has a hard time voicing his feelings when he overthinks things, but this is simple to him. It's a little surprising and nice to heart it volleyed back — like their friendship is more solidified by saying it aloud. ]
Yeah. [ He takes a moment to absorb it, too, before he gently ruins the moment. ] And who would call you at odd hours, if I wasn't around?

You're used to royalty discussing their plans?
[Incredible, honestly. But then Bellamy continues more seriously.]
They've got theirs and they don't care about anyone else. Seems like that's a constant in every universe.

Yeah, well, it's still shit. [ wait. ] You got royals in space or something? Or just when you hit the ground?

[ said sarcastically. ]

Yeah, they laid out the welcome mat.
[And then, more seriously:]
We lost 48 before the rest of the Ark came down.

[He rarely thinks he deserved to, but that's a conversation for another day. Or never.]
So did Clarke.

[ He thinks of calling Bellamy after countless VR simulations and of trusting him before Ros' little experiment. ]
I don't know what I'd do without you around.

[He teasing, gently, even though it's likely he wouldn't.]
